
Amanda Power
Treasurer
Amanda Power is a Certified Practicing accountant who is passionate about the community sector,
volunteering and health and wellbeing.
Amanda is the Finance Manager and member of St John Ambulance Australia’s national leadership
team and has been with the organisation for 15 years. In 2015 Amanda was invested into the Order
of St John as an Officer. St John is one of Australia’s oldest charities and has been active in Australia
for over 130 years and is the country’s leading supplier of first aid products, services and training.
Each year across Australia St John delivers 1.2 million hours of voluntary community service, train
500,000 people and treat 100,000 people at public events in Australia.
Amanda has extensive experience in the not-profit sector and represented St John Ambulance
Australia for several years on the Charities Consultative Committee. Amanda was vice president of
the Canberra based triathlon club Females in Training, served as Treasurer and committee member
of Triathlon ACT and also served as a mentor on the ACT government initiative towards encouraging
more women onto Boards.
In addition to holding a master’s degree in accounting, and a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA)
qualification, Amanda is a volunteer swimming instructor and competes in social running and
Triathlon events.
